Breast augmentation

Some women have lost the volume of their breast after pregnancy  or some others would like to add volume because they do not feel comfortable with the size of their breast.

We have two solutions for that .

Either we add volume with a breast implant or in other cases,we can use the patient’s own fat in order to fill the breast in case the patient does not want a foreign body.

A careful examination and a detailed consultation are necessary in order to decide about the best surgical technique.

There are many different implants either round or anatomic with various degrees of projection ( from low to moderate to high ).

The implant can be placed behind the gland or behind the muscle or in a dual plane ( upper pole behind the muscle and lower pole behind the gland ).

The final decision depends on the thickness of your skin, the size of your actual breast ,if the breast is sagging or not etc…

A preoperative mammography is  sometimes mandatory.

It is advised that you wear a bra for one month post op.

Breast lift (Mastopexy)

Sagging of the breast can occur after pregnancy and breast feeding or after weight loss.

If the volume of the breast is not sufficient ,an implant  or fat filling has to be added along with the mastopexy .

This procedure will  reposition the gland and the nipple to their original place.

A preoperative mammography is advised and the patient should wear a bra for 4 weeks post.

Mastopexy is done under general anesthesia but does not need a

hospital stay.

Breast Reduction

Some women do not feel comfortable with the size of their breast and experience back pain not only because of the large volume but also because of the sagging that is almost always a consequence of the heavy breast.

So breast reduction achieves harmony in the shape and the size.

It can be combined with other procedures such as liposuction , tummy tuck.

Breast feeding is usually not disturbed after this procedure.

A preoperative mammography is recommended for women above the age of 40.

Smoking should be stopped  at least 3 weeks before the surgery.

Patients should wear a bra for 4 weeks after surgery.
